Clay discusses land speculation in Kentucky: ...I have redeemed the 10,000 acres of land... and is now free from any encumbrance. ... lands have risen very greatly in value in this State .... if you had a suitable agent who could go upon this land... you might find it very much to your interest. With initialed postscript mentioned that taxes had been lately much reduced. Folds, one torn and repaired on verso, light toning.
