Description:

Hells Angels/Janis Joplin "Bermuda Palms" Party Poster, 1970
Janis is once again the party favorite at this "$1.00 Per Head" May 21, 1970 event at Bermuda Palms in San Rafael. With her former band, Big Brother & The Holding Company also on the bill, Joplin played her first gig with her new band, soon to be called the "Full Tilt Boogie Band." But on this night, the short-lived band name, "Main Squeeze," was resurrected. It was Janis' fourth and final appearance on behalf of the Hells Angels her death from an accidental heroin overdose coming four months later on October 4th. The 17.5" x 23" poster exhibits corner tack holes, scattered wrinkles and crease, several tears along the upper left-hand border, and water spotting in the upper right border area. On the reverse, there is masking tape on each corner.
