HEINRICH VON BRAUCHITSCH
(1881 - 1948) German Commander in Chief of the Wermacht from 1938 to 1941 when Hitler personally assumed the post. Partly-printed war-date D.S., 1p. folio with presentation gold-embossed covers, "Fuhrer Headquarters" , Berlin, Nov. 30, 1939, a calligraphy promotion of Major Gen. Ludwig Kübler to Lieutenant-General. Signed at lower right, beneath a lithographed Hitler signature. Very good to fine. Ludwig Kübler (1889-1947) was a Knights Cross awardee who fought in Russia and led mountain troops in Yugoslavia. Wounded and captured, he was hanged for war crimes in 1947.
