Description:

HEINRICH HIMMLER
(1900 - 1945) Hitler's Chief of the Gestapo placed in charge of security and responsible for the construction and operation of extermination camps. He chose suicide rather than face a hangman's noose at Nürmburg. Signed book, Voksgeschichte de Germanen by Kurt Pastenaci (Berlin, 1936), hardcover, boldly signed in green grease pencil on first free endpaper, adding date "7 VIII37". Volsgeschichte is a racist, anti-Semitic glorification of the early Germanic peoples, with numerous illustrations showing Germanic artifacts, some of which are decorated with swastikas and runes. Pastenaci wrote several anti-Semitic books, including The Nordic Foundations of Europe. No dust jacket, light wear to spine and light toning to signature page, very good.
