It was Potts who witnessed Washington in prayer "to the God of the Armies, beseeching to interpose with his Divine aid, as it was ye Crisis and the cause of the country, of humanity, and of the world....". Rare manuscript D.S. Isaac Potts", 1p. large folio, Chester Co., Pa, May 23, 1793, an indenture concerning a plot of land, signed by Potts as witness, also signed by his relatives Mary and David Potts. Folds and a few wrinkles, signature just the slightest bit lightened, else very good.
