HARRY TRUMAN AND BESS TRUMAN
A good pair, including HARRY TRUMAN, his signature on the cover of a program for the "First Annual Opera Festival" given by the Kansas City Philharmonic Association (1953). Light vertical crease, else very good. Offered together with BESS TRUMAN, uncommon A.L.S. 2pp. oblong 12mo., [Independence], "Saturday" [Nov. 29, 1963] to Henry J. Talge of Kansas City. In part: "The noodle soup was delicious! and I enjoyed every 'drop' of it. I had gotten to[o] bored with the lunches my maid had been giving me and your soup was a God send. Thank you so very much". With the original transmittal envelope addressed in her hand. Fine condition, two pieces.
