T.L.S. as President on White House letterhead, 1p. 4to., Washington, May 2, 1950 to Kansas City Mayor William Kemp. Truman expresses his regret that he will be unable to attend centennial celebrations at Kansas City, citing his already-filled calendar, but promise to send a presidential message to the city. File holes and receiving stamp at top, else fine.
