HANS HUBE
(1890 - 1944) "The Man", Nazi one-armed Panzer general who fought in Poland and the Ukraine, flown out of Stalingrad at the last minute to receive Swords for his Knight's Cross, died in a plane crash. Holder of the Knights Cross with Oak Leaves, Swords and Diamonds. Rare war-date D.S. 2pp. 4to., Nov. 22, 1940, an awards list for the German War Cross, 2nd Class for members of the 16th Panzer Div., signed in indelible pencil, with a Hoffmann photo. Near fine.
