I regretted at once.. that I could not dance & so escaped until after dinner...When Gracia Turnbull challenged me for a waltz which of course I could not decline. A storm came up and I left all the party...I suppose I must give a dinner too & ask the ladies..." A 2" x 6" section missing from third page resulting in the loss of several lines of text, usual folds, otherwise good. $300-400
