In part: "...I am building a new kitchen, & store room, one on each side of the yard. I wish you could see my Gin House now, it has a finer front than Millwood & when it is complete, it will be finer than the new State House. My saw mill being under way, I will now soon be able to get my place in order, good buildings, & fences &c. If I could be here at the proper time, I would have a firkin of putter put up, for the Exhibition at Columbia, next Autumn..."
