GUSTAVE EIFFEL
(1832 - 1923) French civil engineer whose construction of the Eiffel Tower proved his theories of the strength of metal framework in building construction. A.L.S. "G. Eiffel"on his "G. Eiffel & Cie. Constructions Métalliques" letterhead, 2pp. 8vo., Paris, Aug. 13, 1881, to Paul, in part: "...I have received your letter...All the children are well...In the matter of the Judicial Council I will be very happy to give you all of my support. Nevertheless I cannot attend the meeting of the Board of Guardians...". Mounting traces to edges of verso do not intrude, overall very good condition.

Shipment is sent USPS priority, USPS International Express (for most overseas) or UPS Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature required, unless other arrangements are made. Handling, shipping and insurance charges will be added to the invoice in one entry. Buyer's should be aware that large, framed, fragile or odd shaped items can incur substantial shipping and packing charges. Customer's who supply their own courier account number will still be charged a handling fee.
