(1837 - 1908) 22nd and 24th President of the United States, supported civil service and fiscal reform. A.L.S 2pp. 8vo., on his personal letterhead, Princeton, N.J., May 25, 1898 to E. R. Bacon in New York, thanking him for his "...Kindness in supplying me with such Luxurious transportation facilities. The Comm[ittee] met me a Baltimore and, through his courtesy, I spent two or three hours very delightfully at the Maryland Club...". With original transmittal envelope addressed in Cleveland's hand.
