GREGORY "PAPPY" BOYINGTON
(1912 - 1988) American military aviator with 28 'kills', his 'Black Sheep' squadron harassed Japanese forces in the Solomons late in the war. Fine, partly-printed D.S., 1p. oblong 12mo., Fresno, Jan. 26, 1984, a check drawn on the Central Bank of Fresno, CA, ordering a 466.40 payment to "Kirkwood's". Boldly engrossed and signed "Gregory Boyington" in black marker. Stamp cancel on verso, not affecting signature. Fine.

Shipment is sent USPS priority, USPS International Express (for most overseas) or UPS Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature required, unless other arrangements are made.
