GREGORY CORSO
(1930 - 2001) Beat poet who quickly fit into the San Francisco Beat scene in 1956 and was soon elevated to celebrity status. Considered one of the major Beat writers. A superb set of four original ink drawings of his creation "Saturn Family", each executed on a 11" x 17" sheet in blue ballpoint and black marker. Titled "Saturn and Family", "The Sorrow of Mr-Mrs Saturn", "Herman Saturn" and "Child Saturn's Flower is Up", these comprise four of the six original illustrations which became a series of prints entitled "Saturn Family" (1981). "Saturn Family" was a collaboration between Corso and literary critic William Plumley published by The Parchment Gallery and were limited to 80 sets. Fine condition, ideal for display.

Shipment is sent USPS priority, USPS International Express (for most overseas) or UPS Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature required, unless other arrangements are made. Handling, shipping and insurance charges will be added to the invoice in one entry. Buyers should be aware that large, framed, fragile or odd shaped items can incur substantial shipping and packing charges. NOTE: Large, heavy or bulky items are not shipped by the auctioneer - arrangements for shipping of these items via a third-party shipper may be arrange through the auction house.
