Accompanied by the original transmittal envelope with his personal red wax seal of the imperial crown and the Latin script "SA". With an A.L.S. addressed to Grand Duke Sergei Alexandrovich, in French, 4pp., 8vo., St. Petersburg. Not translated but with references to the Imperial Family, Princess Betsy Bariatinsky (a famous socialite at the time) and one of the Sheremetieff family, one of Russia's great noble houses. Sergei was the son of Emperor Alexander II of Russia, and was for many years Governor General of Moscow. Very good.
