'GONE WITH THE WIND' CAST SIGNATURE COLLECTION
A wonderful collection of signed pieces and signatures from the epic Academy Award-winning film 'Gone With the Wind', based on Margaret Mitchell's novel of the same name. The centerpiece of the grouping is an 8 x 10 in. photo reproduction of the film's poster, signed by seven leading actors, several including the names of their characters, including: OLIVIA DE HAVILLAND (1916-2020), 'Melanie Hamilton', wife of 'Ashley Wilkes'; ANN RUTHERFORD (1917-2012), 'Careen O'Hara', Scarlett's sister; EVELYN KEYES (1916-2008), 'Suellen O'Hara', engaged to 'Frank Kennedy' who is later stolen by Scarlett; BUTTERFLY MCQUEEN (1911-1995), scatter-brained house slave 'Prissy'; CAMMIE KING (1934-2010), 'Bonnie Blue Butler', child of Scarlett and Rhett who breaks her neck when thrown from her pony; MARY ANDERSON (1918-2014), 'Maybelle Merriwether', an acquaintance and neighbor of Scarlett who appears at the charity ball; RAND BROOKS (1918-2003), Scarlett's ill-fated first husband; and WILLIAM BAKEWELL 1908-1993), the lone Confederate officer in Atlanta who warns Scarlett of advancing Yankees, with JSA certificate. Other important pieces in this collection include: CLARK GABLE (1901-1960), dashing Rhett Butler, inscription and signature on an album page; VIVIIEN LEIGH (1913-1967), beautiful and cunning Scarlett O'Hara, signature on an album page, with JSA certificate; LESLIE HOWARD (1893-1943) milquetoast Ashley Wilkes, large signature on a portion of an album page, with JSA certificate; HATTIE MCDANIEL (1893-1952), 'Mammie', house slave who effectively ran Tara, signature on a lined card, with Alexander and JSA certification; HARRY DAVENPORT (1866-1949) hard-pressed Dr. Meade, signature on a card, with JSA sticker and certification; THOMAS MITCHELL (1892-1962), Gerald O'Hara, Scarlett's father, inscription and signature on a card, with JSA certificate; BARBARA O'NEIL (1910-1980) Scarlett's mother, Ellen O'Hara, inscription and signature with JSA certificate; LAURA HOPE CREWS (1879-1942), Scarlett's nervous Aunt Pittypat in Atlanta, inscription and signature on an album page, besides her mounted photo, with Darvick certificate; FRED CRANE (1918-2008) Brent Tarleton, one of Scarlett's suitors, signature adding his character's name and 'GWTW', with JSA certificate; GEORGE MEEKER (1904-1984), Union officer playing poker with the jailed Rhett Butler, inscription and signature on an album page; FRANK 'JUNIOR' COUGHLAN (1916-2000), the wounded Confederate soldier who exclaimed: 'Put me down, put me down, damn ya', I can walk' as he was being carried off the battlefield, signature on a card; YAKIMA CANUTT (1895-1986), renegade who attacks Scarlett while in her carriage on the bridge, signature on a white card, with JSA certificate; and LOUIS JEAN HEYDT (1903-1960), hungry soldier at Tara, signature on a portion of an album page. Also included are several Gone With the Wind U.S.P.S. stamps, unused. Overall fine condition, a rare assemblage of signatures which would frame and display beautifully!

Due to complications from the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, we will ship with USPS Priority Mail only if the buyer submits their request to us in writing and accepts responsibility for delayed shipments. Signature is always required, unless other arrangements are made. Handling and shipping charges will be added to the invoice in one entry. Buyers should be aware that large, framed, fragile or odd shaped items can incur substantial shipping and packing charges. International shipments are invoiced by DIMENSIONAL weight, not the item weight.
