(1811 - 1890) Union brigadier general who established the Point Lookout prisoner camp, and later led at the Union disaster at Cold Harbor. Very fine content A.D. (unsigned), 1p. 12mo., [n.p.] July 6, [1863] an informal casualty report from the Battle of Gettysburg, in full: "At Gettysburgh [sic] July 2d Capts. Hubbard. A Metcalf - Leuts. Roberts, Darcomb, [illeg] Ballard & Patch were killed. Maj. Sayes, Capt. Gordon, Lieut Perkins...Richardson, Hall were wounded. Col. Burley slightly 338 men in the fight. dead 32 missing 16 wounded 130 / [total] 198". Light creases and a few minor foxed spots, else fine condition.
