Description:

GESTAPO KYOGA WHIP
A frightening weapon used by a Gestapo officer during World War II as a "persuader" for individuals during interrogation. It is a slender telescoping, flexible steel whip measuring 13 1/2" that - innocent looking as it is - deals a miserable blow to the recipient. Bears at the tip of the handle a device of an L M, with hallmarks: "DRGM" for Deutsches Reich Gebrauchsmuster (German Reich Registered Design) and "DRPa" for Deutsche Reichspatent (German Reich Patent). Obtained by our consignor directly from a Nazi veteran in Tallinn, Estonia in 2006. Light oxidation as expected, but overall very good condition.
