GERMAN STONEWARE WEISSE BIER GLASSES (3)
Three vintage German glazed stoneware drinking vessels, all three made in Germany. Two German wheat beer glasses made of stoneware: the first with an attractive gradient dark brown glaze to the rim and to the base, with a highly detailed design showing the crowned Bavarian coat-of-arms flanked by two rampant lions and six flags, two sets of flags that include the Bavarian flags of the house of Wittelsbach, both the Lozenge flag and the State flag, as well as the tricolor flag of Germany. Above which sits the gothic German text 'Gott mit Dir Du Land der Bayern' (God be with you Land of Bavaria) and below a scroll bearing 'BAYERN', bottom is marked with a handarbeit maker logo for Zöller & Born; the other stoneware glass shows a gradient light brown glaze to the rim and base, and a highly detailed design showing the traditional National Adler backed by six flags, a generic State flag, a German tricolor flag, and a tradition flag with early Adler, three each left and right. Above which sits a Prussian Imperial crown and below a scroll bearing 'DEUTSCHLAND', to the bottom is impressed the maker logo for Zöller & Born and 'MADE IN GERMANY'; SOLD WITH: A rare Stoneware bier stein, 8.5 in. tall and marked 0.5l SOHM, with an impressed logo for Veldensteiner lager, inset with a cobalt blue glazed logo showing Veldensteiner Castle and the country side of Neuhaus Germany, as well as the the vertical text 'Veldensteiner'. All three in excellent condition.

Due to complications from the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, we will ship with USPS Priority Mail only if the buyer submits their request to us in writing and accepts responsibility for delayed shipments. Signature is always required, unless other arrangements are made. Handling and shipping charges will be added to the invoice in one entry. Buyers should be aware that large, framed, fragile or odd shaped items can incur substantial shipping and packing charges. International shipments are invoiced by DIMENSIONAL weight, not the item weight.
