GERMAN POLIZEI UNIFORM GROUPING (3)
Three uniform pieces from a single member of the German Polize. Includes a "waffenrock', or parade tunic featuring brown wool collar and cuffs, all piped in green for 'Landespolizei' front closure showing eight natural aluminum pebbled buttons, rear vent area has two sewn-in belt hook-buttons and two regular pebbled buttons, vent slips are piped in green as well. Tunic with four patch pockets, top left pocket has one set of award loops and two loops above pocket for a ribbon bar. Brown wool collar is set with two machine-sewn collar tabs in aluminum wire lintzen woven into a green background with silver twisted cord piping; four-layer sewn-in shoulder boards in silver (rank), white, green, and yellow, and a Landespolizei machine-sewn sleeve insignia on left sleeve. Maker stamp appears inside right breast with 'Schneider-Einkaufs-u.-Lieferungs. Munster (Westf.)', and another small white name tag inside rear neck area, bearing the owner's name embroidered thereon: 'Reders Heinr., 1.Comp.' with, possibly the original sales label secured with a zinc staple inside back area. WITH: Matching wool trousers, piped in green at side seams, showing all original horn buttons, two slash pockets, watch pocket with watch securing slit ring, and one rear pocket. Sizing strap at rear with blued buckle, heavily stamped within, dated 1939. A few tiny moth holes and a small repaired tear at watch pocket. WITH: Landespolizei Greatcoat, brown wool collar piped in green, Police shoulder boards with silver/brown cord on green backing board (Landespolizei) although original to this coat, the sew-in end of the boards have been pulled free from the shoulder seam, coat is double-breasted with two rows of six original silver pebbled buttons, sizing belts with two silver pebbled buttons. Straight hemmed cuffs terminating the sleeves, with two slash pockets, no buttons. Fully lined. Reder's name tag also affixed within this garment, at the neck line. Overall these garments are in excellent condition and a grouping not often encountered.
