Description:

GERMAN M35 HELMET
Original World War II German M35 helmet, with period green texturized paint finish. Three white-painted swastikas have been hand-painted at the front and on eiher side. The swastikas were most likely applied by the souvenir hunter veteran who originally picked this up. The left side shows the remnants of the original decal under the green camo paint. This aluminum swivel bale helmet is complete with an eight-finger brown leather liner and original chinstrap. Heat stamped on the interior skirt ‘SE64', indicating manufacture by Sachsische Emaillier- und Stanzwerke, Lauter and a size ‘64', further marked with a heating lot code ‘4969'. Painted in white at the back of the skirt is the name ‘Buzirki'. Retains the original aluminum liner headband, with the leather being a bit delicate, but complete. Original period camo paint to the exterior was then covered in a protective lacquer applied postwar for preservation, as is commonly seen. Still remaining in fine condition, this helmet has a beautiful look and patina. Overall, excellent.
