A group of 12 items relative to the German-American Bund ca. 1930s-1940s, includes: a T.L.S. 1p. legal 4to., Hamburg, Aug. 31, 1935, from Theodor Kessmier, Chief Foreign Correspondent of the Deutscher-Bund to Philip Ross, a Nazi sympathizer in New Jersey, responding to his letter about Ross' plan to establish an ‘sympathetic movement' in America. Kessmeir offers Ross copies of literature to distribute to other sympathizers which ‘…give a clear perspective on the Jewish problem...'. Wear at top. WITH: 11 original press photos of prominent Bund leaders such as Fritz Kuhn (in jail and bathing costume), detectives inspecting Camp Siegfried, Rep. Samuel Dickstein with Fiorello La Guardia, members of the Colombians, Inc., August Klapprott, Arthur Westlund testifying at the Bund trial, and more. WITH: a copy of Wilhelm Spohr's book ‘German Work in the United States' (Berlin: Verlagsanstalt, 1931), 64pp. 4 x 6 in., in German. This volume is a continuation of Spohr's previous works informing the reader about Germanism in America, the contributions of German immigrants, and other nationalistic content. Overall good condition.
