(1913 - 2006) 38th President of the United States who assumed office upon the resignation of Richard Nixon, who Ford later pardoned for any involvement in the Watergate scandal. Uncommon T.L.S. as Vice President, 1p. 4to., Washington, Mar. 13, 1974 to Maurice Moore (aka. "Speedie"), writing, in part: "I do indeed remember you from those rather trying days when I was a member of the Warren Commission to Investigate the Assassination of President Kennedy. It was good to hear from you... I regret very much that I am unable to comply with your request for another copy of the Warren Commission Report. The only copy I have is my own and of course I want to deep it for my own library..." Offered with the original transmittal envelope. Some soiled spots, usual folds, else very good condition.
