GEORGIA O'KEEFFE
(1887 - 1986) American painter and wife of Alfred Stieglitz, she was a leading artist of the twentieth century whose paintings were devoted to abstract floral forms, desert terrain and animal skulls. T.L.S. 1p. 4to., Abiquiu, N.M., Feb. 20, 1973 to the Rev. William J. Fletcher thanking him "...for the pictures that you sent me. I had completely forgotten them. I know Father Kelly had 2 drawings of mine of a little plant - about 5 or 6 inches high. I would be interested to know where they went when he died, if anybody knows... I have asked Miss Bry to send you a brochure on the portfolio. You may have gone to New York when she was away. If you go again, telephone first. She won't open the door unless she is sure who it is...". Doris Bry O'Keefe's longtime New York representative and business agent. She began working for O'Keefe in 1945 following the death of Alfred Stieglitz and by 1965 she was her exclusive dealer and agent. Usual folds, else fine condition.

Shipment is sent USPS priority, USPS International Express (for most overseas) or UPS Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature required, unless other arrangements are made. Customer's who supply their own courier account number will still be charged a handling fee.
