GEORGE V (1865 - 1936) King of England, son of Edward VII and husband of Mary of Teck who led England through the dark days of World War I and in the agreement with the Irish Free State. Fine S.P. 4" x 6" b/w on original 8" x 10 1/2" mat, a head and shoulders portrait by W. & D. Downey, signed on mat beneath image: "George R. I. 1926". Light foxing to mat and light silvering to edges of photo, but overall very good condition, and a most attractive image.
