GEORGE TAYLOR (1716 - 1781) Pennsylvania Signer of the Declaration of Independence, appointed a delegate to the Continental Congress in 1775 to replace a member of the Pennsylvania delegation who refused to support independence. In full: "Received 6th December 1774 from Thomas Adamson One Hundred Pounds being the first payment for the land sold him p [er] the above agreement. Geo. Taylor". Closely cut at left barely clipping one letter in text, light toning and soiling as one would expect, else very good. Taylor is one of the rarest Signers obtainable. $10,000-15,000
