GEORGE RAFT
(1895 - 1980) American actor who often portrayed criminals, most notably in "Scarface", also a close friend of "Bugsy" Siegel. Typed D.S. 3pp. 4to., Burbank, Oct. 25, 1939, a contract with Warner Bros. amending previous contract provisions concerning commencement dates of future films so that he: "...may render services as an actor for Walter Wanger in his picture tentatively entitled, 'THE HOUSE ACROSS THE BAY'. Your services for Walter Wanger shall be rendered following the completion of your services for us in our photoplay entitled 'INVISIBLE STRIPES'. The service by you rendered for Walter Wanger in his connection shall be completed, in any event, not later than January 2, 1940...". Both films mentioned were released in 1940. Boldly signed at conclusion and initialed twice. Very good.
