(1738-1820) King of England during the American Revolution, it was his policies of taxation and repression that led to the uprisings in the Colonies. Partly-printed D.S. "George R" when nearly blinded by cataracts, 1p. sm. folio parchment, [London], June 29, 1809, the appointment of Cox James to serve as Ensign in the 71st Glasgow Regiment of Foot, boldly signed at upper-left, co-signed by ROBERT JENKINSON, LORD LIVERPOOL at lower-right. Moderate soiling and folds, a pinhole at upper-right, else quite good.

Shipment is sent USPS priority, USPS International Express (for most overseas) or UPS Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature required, unless other arrangements are made.
