GEORGE GERSHWIN
(1898 - 1937) American composer and songwriter in collaboration with his brother Ira, his works include Porgy and Bess, Rhapsody in Blue, and An American in Paris. His bold signature on a program page for a concert celebrating the 10th Anniversary of Rhapsody in Blue, given by Gershwin and tenor JAMES MELTON, who signs in pencil. Pencil notation at bottom indicates the concert tour spanned Jan. 14 - Feb. 10, 1934. Trimmed a bit with no loss of text, tape reinforcement on verso, overall very good condition.
