War-date fine association A.D.S., as New York governor, 1p., oblong 12mo., Albany, March 21, 1781, a hand-written appointment of Thomas Machin to recruiting officer for Lamb's artillery. In part: "... I hereby Certify that Capt Thomas Machin is duely [sic] appointed as a Recruting Officer for Colo.
