GEORGE BERNARD SHAW
(1856 - 1950) British playwright and critic with classic ascerbic wit. His works include Pygmalion, The Devil's Disciple, and much criticism of the arts. Nice A.L.S. 1p. 12mo., Herts, Nov. 12, 1907, on his personal correspondence card to T. Fisher Unwin, regarding a biography: "...I know nothing ab out Hincheson. Perhaps you dictated [ArchibaldHenderson; and your stenographer sloped the d and read it as ch. Anyway, Henderson is doing a biography but nothing will be done about it until I see the completed work & decide whether it shall be blessed with a preface or not...". Finely penned, very good condition. Archibald Henderson became Shaw's official biographer in 1911, and is known for his numerous biographies as well as acclaimed volume George Bernard Shaw: Man of the Century (1956).
