GEORG-WILHELM POSTEL
(1896-1953) German general in the Wehrmacht, a recipient of the Knight's Cross with Oak Leaves and Swords. A distinguished commander on the Eastern Front, Postel was taken prisoner after the capitulation of Romania and died in custody. Rare war-date S.P., 3.5 x 5.25 in. b/w, an image of Postel being greeted by Hitler, signed in the blank bottom margin. On the verso, Postel inscribes the photo and dates it 1943. Mounting traces on the verso, else very good.

Signature is always required, unless other arrangements are made. Handling and shipping charges will be added to the invoice in one entry. Buyers should be aware that large, framed, fragile or odd shaped items can incur substantial shipping and packing charges. International shipments are invoiced by DIMENSIONAL weight, not the item weight.
