Good pair of Knights Cross recipients signed pieces, includes: FRIDOLIN VON SENGER UND ETTERLIN (1891-1963) Wehrmacht general, participated in the Battle of France, the Southern Russian Campaign, the Battle of Sicily, and the Battle of Monte Cassino, good association T.L.S. in English, 1p. oblong 8vo., [n.p.], Dec. 12, 1955, to a researcher. In part: '...I regret to have to inform you that Generaloberst v. Vietinghoff died three years ago...I am sorry I do not know the address of his widow.' Signed at the conclusion in blue ink, Vietinghoff (1887-1952) was a German general commanding troops in occupied Italy in 1945; WITH: GUSTAV KRUNKENBERG (1888-1980) Generalmajor of the Waffen-SS, commander of the SS Charlemagne Division and the remains of the SS Division Nordland during the Battle of Berlin in April 1945, S.P., 3.5 x 5.25 in., b/w, a full-standing portrait in uniform signed adding rank and his commands in the wide left and right margin.
