A nice pair of two D.S., both 1p. folio each a diplomatic appointment. Includes: LOUIS-PHILIPPE, Oct. 1842, appointing Gustave Pierre-Antoine, Viscomte de Catallion to a St. Petersburg post, countersigned by FRANCOIS GUIZOT. Light water damage to corners, otherwise very good. Along with LOUIS-NAPOLEON, June 1855, signed as Emperor, with the intent to appoint Gustave Pierre-Antoine to the Foreign Service, however, blank area not filled in. Very good condition, with a fine, bold signature. Two pieces.
