A good group of three items, includes: CHARLES-FRANCOIS DELACROIX (1741-1805) Minister of Foreign Affairs during the French Revolution. Manuscript D.S. ‘Ch. Delacroix' 2pp. legal folio, Paris, December, 1795, to Citizen Roquesante, the French General Consul at Cadiz. Delacroix advises him that the Executive Directory has appointed him General Consul and that he will be sending him his commission and instructions, which he is to follow exactly. Further, Delacroix directs Roquesante to be in touch with the Charge d'Affaires at Madrid and secure his exequatur, which is required for him to function in an official manner. Finally, he also notes that he is expected to correspond with that individual on all matters naval and commercial. WITH: DOMINIQUE-VINCENT RAMEL-NOGARET (1760-1829) Member of the National Convention, Council of Five Hundred, and served as Minister of Finance. Manuscript D.S. ‘duRamel' 1p. 4to., Paris, Sept. 30, 1794, as Minister of Finance sending an order to the Committee of Finance regarding its report about the payment for work of some individuals. Boldly signed at the conclusion along with four other members of the committee. WITH: FRANCOIS-EMMANUEL GUIGNARD, COMTE DE SAINT PRIEST (1735-1821) French Revolutionary politician and diplomat. Manuscript D.S. ‘le cte de St. Priest' 1p. legal folio, Sept. 16, 1789, mentioning: ‘…his majesty also finds it good that you [?] former bourgeois who occupy or have occupied official positions...fulfill the functions in the bourgeois militia….'. Three pieces, very good.
