FRENCH AND INDIAN WAR ALEXANDER WOLCOTT(1712-1795) Physician at Windsor, CT, Yale graduate, surgeon with the Expedition against Lewisburg. A.D.S., 2pp., folio, [n.p.], a listing of visits, medications and fees to Col. Matthew Allyn of Windsor, dated August 1775 to Allyn's death in February 1758. Together with an A.Ms. 1p., oblong 12mo., a receipt dated Nov. 14, 1758 for payment in full from the estate of Matthew Allyn. Matthew Allyn (1660-1758) was Windsor's most prominent resident. He commanded the Connecticut troops sent to fight the French and Indians at Hampshire County, Massachusetts in 1706 during Queen Anne's War. He later served on the Governor's Council and was Judge of the Superior Court. Two items, very good .
