FRANZ XAVER SCHWARZ PHOTO ALBUM FROM THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE "GAU-FORUM"
FRANZ XAVER SCHWARZ (1875-1947) German politician who served as Reichsschatzmeister (National Treasurer) of the Nazi Party during most of the Party's existence. Held the rank of SS-Oberst-Gruppenführer, one of only four people to hold the title. Died n Allied captivity while being held as a "major offender". Presentation photograph album "The Reichsschatzmeister in Weimar 6-8 June 1939", 11 1/2" x 14", with embossed gilt national eagle and swastika on cover and leather spine. Contains 46 uncaptioned 6 1/2" x 4 3/4" mounted images depicting Schwarz's visit to Weimar and many images of his inspection of the ongoing construction of the Gauforum, an epic construction project conceived by Hitler and to this day never completed. Other scenes include an outdoor meal, pandering to children, various SS and Wehrmacht officials, etc. Covers and spine a bit worn, else very good.

Shipments are sent via USPS Priority, USPS International Priority, DHL (for most overseas shipments) or FedEx Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature is always required, unless other arrangements are made. International shipments are invoiced by DIMENSIONAL weight, not the item weight. Customers who supply their own courier account number will still be charged a handling fee.
