Noting that he had communicated with Dr. Robert Ley on the matter, Schwarz requests that Burckel report on the results of his meeting with Dr. Ley on the matter. Germany had annexed Austria (Anschluss) in March 1938. Burckel, as Reichskommissar for the Ostmark, organized the plebiscite of April 10 that overwhelmingly approved the absorption of Austria into Germany. It was then up to Burckel to solidify the union, integrating Austria in to the Reich politically, economically and culturally. The distribution of party "Organisationsbuchern" were part of that master plan of integration. Light folds, file holes at left margin, else fine condition.
