T.L.S. as Governor of New York, 1p. 4to., Albany, July 10, 1931 to Douglas W. Swiggett of The Milwaukee Journal concerning his brother who was working for the Westchester County Park Commission: "...the Chief Engineer... has recently advised me that upon the completion of his work with the landscape department your brother has been transferred to the Construction Department where he is now working. I am confident there will be sufficient [work] to keep him busy at least for the summer. I wish that it were possible to take care of him in a more substantial way but I feel Mr. Downer the engineer will be quick to recognize his ability..." Offered with the original transmittal envelope. Usual folds, else very good condition.
