A scarce edition of his newspaper, The Pennsylvania Gazette (Philadelphia: Franklin & Hall, June 29, 1749), 4pp. folio. Includes news from London detailing the presentations of petitions from Connecticut, Pennsylvania and Rhode Island opposing a bill laid before Parliament to outlaw paper currency issued by the colonies. In other news, "...We hear that the French are building a fort at St. John's, within the limits of Nova Scotia, under the protections of three vessels of force...a strong settlement in that province...the new governor of Canada, has lately wrote a very haughty and insolent letter to the governor of Nova-Scotia, in which the monsieur claims the bigger part of Nova-Scotia, and part of his province [Massachusetts]..."
