Good financial content manuscript L.S. 1p. 4to., Washington, Mar. 5, 1886, on letterhead of the Treasury of the United States to B. Seaman, cashier of the Fourth National Bank in New York City. In part: "...I have received yours of 3d inst. enclosing amended returns. I hand you, with this…check [no longer present] on Assistant Treasurer at New York for $1250. amount of Coupons due 1st inst on 10/40 bonds held in trust for your Bank. The Assistant Treasurer at New York has this day been advised that interest in name of The Treasurer of the United States in trust for your Bank, heretofore withheld, may now be paid to your Bank...". Mounting strip to left verso, folds with minor splits at margins, very good.
