FLOYD GIBBONS
(1887-1939) American aviator and journalist who flew with Robert E. Byrd over the North Pole. Rare oversize I.S.P. 11" x 13" gelatin silver print, shows Gibbons in front of a radio mike. Boldly inscribed at lower left corner in red grease pencil to Dick Hyman, a publicist for Hearst's King Features organization and a long-time personal friend of Gibbons. In full: "To Dick Hyman from his fellow worker and pal Floyd Gibbons Mar. 1937". Light wear to edges, weakened fold to upper right corner, and a couple of emulsion defects, very good.

Shipment is sent USPS priority, USPS International Express (for most overseas) or UPS Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature required, unless other arrangements are made. Customer's who supply their own courier account number will still be charged a handling fee.
