Description:

FIRST EAST TO WEST TRANSATLANTIC AVIATORS
After Charles Lindbergh crossed the Atlantic from West to East in May 1927, the idea of flying in the opposite direction, which is more difficult because of the prevailing winds, became more and more popular. On April 12, 1928 HERMANN KOHL, JAMES FITZMAURICE and EHRENFRIED GUNTHER FREIHERR VON HUNEFELD landed in Newfoundland, achieving the goal. Signatures of all three on individual small white cards, all dated only three weeks after their historic flight. Fine.
