FERDINAND V AND ISABELLA I
King and Queen of Spain who ruled jointly from 1479 to 1504, they fought and expelled the Moors in 1492, established the Inquisition, and are best remembered for their financing of Columbus' voyage to the Americas. A fine pair of documents, each signed by one of the famed patrons, the first a manuscript D.S. signed by FERDINAND V, 1p. legal 4to., Jan. 31, 1505. Signing "Yo El Rey, Ferdinand authorizes Queen Isabella's Chamberlain, Sancho de Parades, to pay 800 maravedis from the proceeds of the sale of the Queen's jewels. Along with ISABELLA, manuscript D.S. 1p. legal 4to., Toledo, May 12, 1498, authorizing the same Chamberlain to deliver a coat to the Condesa de Cabra, signing "Yo El Reyna". Each floated on a white against a sage green mat, offered in simple gold frames. Very good condition.

Shipment is sent USPS priority, USPS International Express (for most overseas) or UPS Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature required, unless other arrangements are made.
