FERDINAND FOCH
(1851 - 1929) French Marshall of World War I who twice checked the German advance on Calais and was active at the Marne and the Somme. Superb and large I.S.P. 14" x 18" sepia bust portrait of the victorious general soon after the close of the First World War. Inscribed and signed during his 1921 on his return to France after trip to the United States to attend the dedication of the Liberty Memorial in Kansas City. He inscribes it: "A la Légion Américaine Jackson, en souvenir de mon passage. 7 Nov. 21 F. Foch". Vertical tear at top center affects Foch's image, light soiling and marginal wear, else very good condition.

Shipment is sent USPS priority, USPS International Express (for most overseas) or UPS Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature required, unless other arrangements are made. Handling, shipping and insurance charges will be added to the invoice in one entry. Buyer's should be aware that large, framed, fragile or odd shaped items can incur substantial shipping and packing charges. Customer's who supply their own courier account number will still be charged a handling fee.
