FEOFFMENT FROM THE REIGN OF EDWARD I
Manuscript D.S. in Latin, 1p. oblong 12mo., 1275, a feoffment, or grant, in which Sir Richard de Baron, Knight, begs for salvation of his soul and the souls of his ancestors to the Abbot and the monastery of Saint Andrews of Gouffern of the Christian Order of one vineyard. Penned during the reign of Edward I. The land is in France and ruins of the Cistercian Monastery are still in existence near Falaise of Normandy. Folded at bottom margin with paper ribbon, trimmed at right edge, light dampstaining, very good condition.
