EXECUTION OF LOUIS XVI Scarce newspaper, the Columbian Sentinel, Boston, Mar. 27, 1793, bearing a front page story describing the trial of French King Louis XVI with an account of the trial, a transcript of his condemnation, and a second-hand description of his execution at the guillotine. The execution of Marie Antoinette and her sister is also mentioned, as is the "banishment" of the Dauphine. Toned, with a thin dampstain along four folds and at masthead, set into an antique mat and frame. Overall good. From the estate of magician and mentalist Joseph Dunninger. $150-200
