ERNESTO "CHE" GUEVARA
(1928 - 1967) Argentine Marxist revolutionary and guerrilla leader, allied with Fidel and Raul Castro in their successful revolutionary activities, headed Cuba's finances, led revolutionary activities in the Congo and in Bolivia where he was captured and executed. Rare T.L.S. "Che" as President of the National Bank of Cuba on official letterhead, 1p. 4to., Havana, April 16, 1960 "The Year of Agrarian Reform", to the vice president of a New York company (the name of which is blacked-out). Guevara advises he is prepared to consider his correspondent's offer of his: "...experience in triangular and compensation barter business...". Wrinkled a bit, else very good. Such trade practices are generally limited to countries with limited access to hard currencies.
