ENGLISH HUNTING DAGGER
English hunting dagger, blade 16" long, 21 1/2" long overall, the grip a green dyed or painted wood inset with hundreds of silver tiny circles and curved lines (some lost), with fittings apparently sterling silver. The pommel bears bands about the sides, with eight pairs of bars emanating from the center where the pommel nut would be found, the cross guard bearing bars terminating in opposing directions. A fitting below the crossguard bears an ornate looping design, while the reverse is engraved: "NO. 486 1757". The blade, somewhat worn and oxidized, bears a filigreed engraving also depicting a running boar and stag.

Shipment is sent USPS priority, USPS International Express (for most overseas), DHL or UPS Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature required, unless other arrangements are made. Handling, shipping and insurance charges will be added to the invoice in one entry. Buyers should be aware that large, framed, fragile or odd shaped items can incur substantial shipping and packing charges. NOTE: Large, heavy or bulky items are not shipped by the auctioneer - arrangements for shipping of these items via a third-party shipper may be arranged through the auction house. Customers who supply their own courier account number will still be charged a handling fee.
