Excellent, large group of manuals, books, slides, transparencies, etc. used by soldiers and civilians as aids in differentiating enemy aircraft and vessels from those of neutral or allied countries. Included in this lot are some rare publications: Office of Naval Intelligence Manual of Merchant Ships, Navy Dept., May, 1943. 474pp. 4to. listing and describing all merchant vessels worldwide over 1,000 tons with photographs, hull and superstructure characteristics, etc.; 25 8" x 9" transparencies including photos and schematics of various merchant and naval vessels, some post-war; "Recognition Pictorial Manuals", two for aircraft, one for naval vessels; "Identification of Aircraft for Army Air Forces Ground Observer Corps", Gov't Printing Office, 1941. 146pp. 8vo., illustrated; 1943 "Aeronautics Aircraft Spotters' Handbook", issued by the National Aeronautics Council, civilian and military aircraft; "Aircraft Spotters' Guide", 1942, similar to previous; sixty 35mm. slides of various aircraft and silhouetttes, used for teaching, and a collection of 32 "Photographs of Combat Planes", a souvenir issue. Overall very good.

Shipments are sent via USPS Priority, USPS International Priority, DHL (for most overseas shipments) or FedEx Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature is always required, unless other arrangements are made. Handling and shipping charges will be added to the invoice in one entry. Buyers should be aware that large, framed, fragile or odd shaped items can incur substantial shipping and packing charges. International shipments are invoiced by DIMENSIONAL weight, not the item weight. Customers who supply their own courier account number will still be charged a handling fee.
